WHAT IS ALLOWED? You may have more than one shop on Etsy. We understand that there are many reasons why you may decide to have more than one Etsy shop. You might wish to create more than one brand, to market to different audiences, or to fulfill different buyer needs. For example, rather than combining vintage items with your handmade jewelry, it may make more sense for you to have two separate shops with different marketing strategies. Or, you may want to have two clothing shops—one for adults and one for children. We know that some sellers have had great success managing their businesses through multiple shops. You may list an item in more than one shop as long as: You have the quantity to fulfill orders from multiple listings. Unique, one-of-a-kind items cannot be listed in multiple shops. Most or all of the other listings in each of your shops differ from each other. See Duplicate Listings below. You publish the names of all of your shops in your Public Profile. You follow our Seller Policy on how to maintain a transparent shop for each account you have on Etsy. WHAT IS NOT ALLOWED? DUPLICATE SHOPS ARE PROHIBITED, as outlined in our Seller Policy. Duplicate shops list some or all of the same items in more than one shop in a deliberately identical way to appear multiple times in the same search, often using the same photographs, descriptions, pricing, and branding (including a cover photo or shop banner, Shop Icon, and About section). DUPLICATE LISTINGS ARE RESTRICTED when they are listed in more than one shop. A duplicate listing occurs when an item is listed in more than one unique listing number, with all or nearly all of the key parts of presentation and marketing - such as title, tags, photo, description - identical or nearly identical to another listing. If you open another shop or have multiple shops, you must: Be prepared, if asked, to explain to Etsy the reason you wish to have multiple shops. Ensure your shops and/or listings significantly differ from one another. Avoid excessive numbers of duplicate listings appearing in more than one shop. If Etsy determines that your shop is a duplicate, we may remove it from the marketplace. WHY DO WE HAVE THIS POLICY? Duplicate shops create confusion for our buyers and do not promote transparency about your business and the items you make. In addition, duplicate shops distort search results, which can create an unfair advantage over other sellers and an unfavorable experience for buyers. For these reasons, you may not have duplicate shops on Etsy. In addition, you may not open a new shop if your previous shop or shops have been closed because they were in violation of our Policies.
