BUYER REFERRALS POLICY

	Etsy members may receive credits to be used on our website and mobile apps through Etsy’s referral programmes. This Buyer Referrals Policy explains the requirements you need to meet in order to receive credits. You may only send referral invitations to friends or individuals who consent to receiving this type of message. You must comply with any applicable local laws.  

	This policy is a part of our Terms of Use. By participating in one of Etsy’s referral programmes, you’re agreeing to this policy and our Terms of Use. 

	First-Time	First-Purchase Credit is available to First-Time Buyers who receive a valid invitationinvitation. A First-Time Buyer may receive a credit towards theirregister an account for the first purchase ('First-Purchase Credit') on our websitetime or mobile apps upon clickinghave an existing account but has not made a purchase. After receiving a valid invitation, the First-Time Buyer must click on the link to acceptprovided in the email invitation and registering as an Etsy member or signing in order to an existing Etsy account.receive a credit towards their first purchase. First-Time Buyers may apply the First-Purchase Credit toward a purchase on our marketplace using Etsy Payments (a “Qualifying Purchase”). A Qualifying Purchase may not be made from the First-Time Buyer’s own Etsy shop or for a gift card, and may be subject to a minimum purchase requirement, which does not includeincluding tax, shippingshipping, or discounts. First-Purchase Credits may expire. 

	For every two Qualifying Purchases made by First-Time Buyers who accepted your invitations, Etsy may add a Referral Credit to your Etsy account within a commercially reasonable amount of time. You may be limited to receiving a maximum number of Referral Credits. You may only send referral invitations to friends or individuals who consent to receiving this type of message. You must comply with any applicable local laws.

	Credits are not transferable and may not be sold or exchanged for cash. If you or your friends do not comply with this policy, or do not follow the directions on the referral pages or valid invitations, you may not receive the applicable credits, andcredits. Etsy will not be liable for any such non-compliance. Invitations may expire. 

	Participation in the referral programmes may be limited to Etsy members located in certain countries or using certain currencies, and is void where prohibited by law. Etsy reserves the right to modify or terminate the referral programmes at any time. 

	Etsy reserves the right to cancel or rescind credits if it determines in its sole discretionwe determine that any party has violated this policy or Etsy’s Terms of Use, including through any fraudulent or misleading referral activity (for example, by using multiple identities, email addresses or Etsy accounts, otherwise providing false or misleading information, or conducting any kind of funny business) or if the party’s Etsy account is closed for any reason.
